What is the refund policy

Refunds

If your son or daughter is unable to attend for any reason, a prorated refund will be issued. Please note: Refunds after week 2 are not allowed.

Transfers

Following week 2, registration can be transferred to another athlete if there is room that athlete's age group.

What is the format and program focus

Based on athlete age and abilities, we build strength, multidimensional speed, power and endurance.

We also focus highly on injury prevention through stability, flexibility and technique development.

All sessions are coached to ensure safe progress and enjoyment. Groups are 9-12 athletes max for ample 1-1 help.

Do athletes need to play a certain sport

The Athlete Academy is open to 9-18 YO's from all sports.

Our programming is athlete specific, not sport specific which safely fast tracks Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD).

We do this as specializing in sport and position too early slows down overall athletic progress and is best used later in development

What are the expectations

Athletes

  1. Be respectful to the facility, athletes, coaches, and patrons of the gym and Willie O'Ree arena (2 strike rule)

  2. Learn proper gym etiquette from our coaches and conduct yourselves accordingly

  3. Wear athletic clothing and clean shoes

  4. Work hard, get better, have some fun!

    Parents

    1. Book, cancel and reschedule all sessions via our app

    2. As a courtesy to other families do your best to cancel a booking asap if unable to attend

    3. Read the terms and conditions inside the app

Can I join after the start date

Yes — but depends if there is space and how many weeks we are into training.

If the athlete is new to the program, starting more then 4 weeks into the program may not be best. If an athlete does start late, registration is prorated.

Can training be modified for injuries or medical history

Yes we can almost always modify for these.

Please be sure to detail any relevant information in our Waiver / Athlete Intake form prior to starting.

What does my son or daughter bring to the sessions

Wearing some athletic clothing including shorts is best.

Also, bring a water bottle and indoor athletic shoes i.e. sneakers / running shoes

Booking Questions

When do sessions expire

Please note: All Sessions expire after 10th week and do not carry forward.

Reminder, if a session is missed on a certain week, our flex-scheduling allows that unused session to be made up anytime inside our 10-weeks of training.

How do I sign the the waiver form

Here is our Waiver / Athlete Intake. Please note, completing this is required before training.

Also, completing this is required at the beginning of each 10-week program.

What is flex scheduling

Instead, families can select the training sessions on different days as needed.

This is done via our scheduling app.

Sessions can be booked 10 days in advance.

Athlete's are welcome to match their training schedule with buddies whenever possible!

Wait list

Flex scheduling also features a wait list. If you are on the wait list, and someone cancels out of a session, the app will auto-enrol and email notify the first in line on the wait list.

When can I begin booking sessions

Sessions can be booked a rolling 10 days in advance. It's recommended to book in advance to secure your spot, then use the can class feature in-app if needed.

Prior to week 1 of the program, sessions can be booked on the Wednesday before week 1.
