I first began with Prevail in December 2024, signing up for a 6-week women’s challenge right before Christmas, my birthday, and an all-inclusive family vacation. I figured — with so many excuses ahead — why not challenge myself instead?
Before joining, I believed my biggest roadblocks were my age, perimenopause, and a busy schedule that left little time for myself. As a mom of four who works full-time, time has always been an issue. But what I learned was that making time for myself was the real challenge.
Perimenopause is something new over the last few years, and I truly believed I couldn’t lose weight or change my body anymore.
That wasn’t true — I just had to change what I was doing and how I was eating. Nutrition was a huge learning curve, and I’m so grateful for the support and guidance I received.
Since working with Prevail — and specifically Reg — so many changes have happened mentally, emotionally, and physically.
I’ve learned to make time for myself, show up for myself, and stay committed to my own goals instead of only focusing on everyone else’s needs.
I handle stress better, sleep better, and have a more positive outlook. My body has completely transformed — I’ve lost over 20 lbs, kept it off, and built strength and muscle. I’ve learned how to manage my nutrition for my age and stage of life, and I’ve actually impressed myself.
For the first time in a long time, I feel comfortable and proud in my own skin.
For years, I poured my energy into work, education, family, and friends. What needed to change was giving back to myself. I used to hit burnout often, but not anymore — because now I’m filling my cup too. I’ve created a lifestyle that helps me manage stress, work, and family without being overly rigid.
And yes — I’m never turning down BBQ nachos.
I needed accountability, coaching, and teaching, and Reg provided exactly that. He has a kind but motivating way of not accepting excuses, without ever shaming you. He believed in me until I could believe in myself, and that made all the difference. When I hit plateaus, that belief helps me keep pushing and reaching new goals.
I’m most proud of taking the time to learn a different way of caring for myself — to show myself love instead of just giving it to others. I know I’m being a better role model for my children, and adding weight to the barbell on squats, deadlifts, and bench presses is something I’m truly proud of.
Today, I feel 100% confident about maintaining my long-term goals. My body and mind feel stronger than ever, and this no longer feels like a “program” — it’s a lifestyle.
If someone asked me if Prevail was worth it, I’d say: not only is Prevail worth it — you are worth it.
