Jack Ryan
Performance Coach
From Fredericton NB, Jack excelled as a multi-sport athlete in both the AAA baseball and hockey ranks.
He furthered his career attending prep school at Bishops College, followed by playing junior hockey with Smith Falls and the historic Notre Dame Hounds program. Following his junior career, Jack served time with the UNB Reds. He has also been a member of the senior Royals, and is the only Fredericton athlete to play for both the senior Royals and prestigious UNB Reds.
Jack is currently completing his psychology degree at UNB, specializing in neuroscience. An avid fitness enthusiast, Jack brings a tremendous amount of experience to our athlete programming.
Reg Bourcier
Owner / Performance Coach
Born in Kenora Ontario, Reg has 20+ years coaching experience, including working as a goaltender & strength coach (QMJHL) and with the Fredericton Red Wings (MJAHL). He has also trained 1K+ clients, ranging from youth / professional athletes, post rehab, to busy adults.
A former University of New Brunswick goaltender, Reg resides in Fredericton NB with his wife and 3 kids.
Certifications: Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, NCCP Weightlifting, Certified Speed & Agility Coach

CIS National champion, CIS 1st team all-Canadian, 3x AUC 1st team all

Yes but depends if there is space and how far along the program is. If the athlete is new to the program we want to avoid them starting past the half way point of the program giving the progression of training. If an athlete does start late, we will prorate registration.
We focus on age and athlete specific strength, multidimensional speed, power and endurance. Injury prevention is a big part of our focus so each athlete progressively builds their athletic foundation of stability and flexibility, as they continue to learn quality form with the main movement patterns we teach.
The Athlete Academy is open to athletes fro all sports. This is because our training method focuses on safely fast tracking each athletes Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD). Specializes in sport and position specific too early will actually slow down overall athletic progress and is best left to later in the LTAD process.
We know good athlete nutrition needs a family approach. This is why we share our Anti-Diet Lifestyle method ($299 value) with each family. This is the the same we use with our adult clients inside Prevail Coaching. So if you have any health goals yourself, this is a great benefit. Each athlete also receives a Bio Steel post workout recovery drink to help refuel, get stronger, and build quality habits.
Each athlete will receive a bonus at-home workout. This workout compliments their current in-gym training and will help accelerate their strength, core, speed and endurance. No special equipment is needed and this bonus includes full video demonstration online.
No membership is needed. Unless for athletes over age 13 who are looking to train independently outside of our group times using their program. Athletes must be 'cleared' to train independently to ensure their form and program understanding is high.
Yes, and no. For athletes who are advanced and have been training with us for several years, yes. But for foundation and intermediate athletes, we focus on 'Athlete specific' not sport specific. By doing so, a much stronger foundation of athletic strength, power and multi-directional speed is built, which is essential before the athlete becomes ready for sport specificity.
Please note, sessions are non-refundable. If there is room in another session of the same age, we will do our best to accommodate for a missed sessions.
Having your son or daughter arrive 5 minutes before is best. Our sessions are 60 minutes in length but can run a few minutes longer at times if needed. If needed, athletes are welcome to wait in the gym lounge or in the WOR for their ride.
Yes each training session is coached to ensure each athlete trains smart, progresses safely and enjoys themselves as they work hard and get better.
Payment options include Visa, MC or Amex. Please note, cash and e-transfer are currently not excepted.
If your son or daughter is unable to attend for any reason within the first 2 weeks of the program, a prorated refund will be issued. Please note there are no refunds after week 2. Also following week 2, registration can be transferred to another athlete if there is room in the group based on the athlete's age. Alternatively, registration can be used as a credit for a future program.
